Winnebago Ekko Review
Ekko is a recent addition to Winnebago’s RV fleet. As such, there are limited firsthand experiences that can be gathered from the RV community. We’re basing our assessment from the feedback that the first few owners have provided as well as the reviews from trusted RV sites.
Ekko is applauded for having its set up ready for adventure. Its gas powered engine can take you further. Its rugged style is fit for any escapade be it in a tamed campsite or if you want to explore more of the great outdoors.
This camper is well-insulated which means you can take it for winter camping. The water tanks and plumbing are all above the floor which will prevent them from freezing. Ekko also comes with a 13,500 BTU air conditioner and Truma® VarioHeat™ comfort to make you comfortable all year round.
The solar panels and alternator will supply your power needs no matter where you go. Its compact size makes it easy to drive and can fit most parking spaces intended for vans.
It’s just a pity that you can’t get the exterior kitchen together with the pop-top sleeping system. This would have maximized this camper to the fullest.
Pros
- set up for adventure
- winter camping
- off-grid ready
- compact as a van
Cons
- You can’t have the exterior kitchen together with the pop-top sleeping area.
The Verdict
Ekko combines what we love best about camper vans, motorhomes, and AWD. Throw in a lot of standard features and some useful upgrades to the mix and this RV is hard to beat.
