Winnebago Boldt Review
Since Boldt has just been launched in 2019, there are only a handful feedbacks from the RV community which are based from the firsthand experiences of owners. We’ve integrated the analysis from trusted RV review sites to make a comprehensive assessment of this Class B motorhome.
The Mercedes-Benz® Sprinter chassis comes at a hefty price but its performance makes it worth every penny. It is known for its top quality, fuel efficiency, and its diesel engines are proven to last long. When you get this with the 4×4 package, you’ve got yourself a real deal because you know that you’ll get the most out of it plus you can go to remote destinations and see places that only a few people have had the opportunity to experience.
For the Winnebago Boldt, the driver’s comfort is given priority. The pilot has everything he needs within his reach.
The Truma heat system and Coleman®-Mach® 10 air conditioner can make you comfortable inside the motorhome all throughout the year.
For the downside, since Winnebago has just released the Boldt, they may still be in the process of finetuning its elements. There have been complaints regarding the automatic sliding door that stopped working. Same thing happened to its supposedly ‘hands free’ navigation system, it wasn’t doing its job.
Some owners have also raised concerns regarding the limited capacity of the fresh and gray water holding tanks. This is a restraining factor for them to stay off grid for a longer period since they have to frequent the dump station.
Pros
- fuel-efficient
- all-season ready
- superior cab conveniences
- 4WD drive option for overlanding
Cons
- ‘hands free’ navigation system not working
- automatic sliding door stopped working
- limited fresh and gray water holding tank capacity
The Verdict
Boldt is a handsome fellow. It is easy to see that it was built for comfort, convenience, and style. It allows you to come as you are from one place to another and go as you please since it’s got everything you need.
It is packed with standard features to make it worth its price. Just choose the right floorplan for you so that you can live the best van life.
